"The Hill," as it is lovingly referred to, is a diverse neighborhood of families, young professionals, retirees  and students in Boulder, Colorado. The neighborhood is within walking distance of the University of Colorado, the Hill Business District, the Pearl Street Mall, Chautauqua and many hiking trails.

The University Hill Neighborhood Association (UHNA) is comprised of neighbors who love the Hill and who are committed to advocating on behalf of, and supporting, our diverse, vibrant, historic community!

The University Hill Neighborhood Association exists to:

Ensure our neighborhood has a voice in matters that affect us.

Promote the vibrancy and safety of our neighborhood.

Facilitate communication

The first private school in Boulder, MSG was founded in 1892, by the Catholic Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVMs,) and closed in 1969.The facility later housed University of Colorado offices then was reopened in 1998 as a retirement community known as The Academy.

Originally constructed in 1926, The Fox Theatre is a live music club in Boulder. Recently voted 4th best music venue in the country by Rolling Stone Magazine, the Fox offers top-notch talent, a sound system, and a 625 capacity atmosphere.

Currently, Studio Arts Boulder offers ceramics at the historic Pottery Lab, which was founded in 1954. The Lab provides educational programs to all ages – children, teens, adults, and seniors – as well as people with disabilities. Lab staff and students also work to advance safe environmental practices in the arts, such as energy-efficiency, low-water use, and zero waste.

Located near the historic Columbia Cemetery, Alpine Modern Café serves up food that is simple and straightforward. Their belief is that community is built around the dining table and they strive to nourish and sustain those relationships with their offerings. Situated on 10.5 acres at Ninth and Pleasant Streets, Columbia Cemetery is a virtual "Who's Who" of early Boulder--a historic, cultural, and artistic resource containing the remains of many of our city's founders and pioneers.

Uni Hill Elementary began educating neighborhood children in 1906.  The main building was expanded and now faces Broadway and the University of Colorado.  The school counts astronaut Scott Carpenter among its alumni.  The school currently houses a bilingual Spanish-English program for preschool through 5th grade in two buildings.
